At the international competition for military scouts, the Russian team set a record for the time it took to complete the most difficult stage of the competition – “Scout Trails”, breaking it in 41.04 minutes.

For the first time in the history of the “Excellence in Military Intelligence” competition of the International Army Games, its participants covered a land mile (1.6 km) in front of the “Scout’s Trail”. This test was included in the program of the all-army stage of the competition in 2021, during which a team of scouts from the NVVKU, which took first place according to its results and received the right to represent the Russian Federation at the international stage of the competition, showed a result of 43.10 minutes.

During this stage, reconnaissance squads in combat gear overcome a complex of obstacles, including 22 elements: a helicopter model with landing training, wooden, brick and stone fences and walls, facades of 2-storey buildings, vertical walls 6 m high, overcome with a pole, counterweight crampons or ropes, water ditch, wire fences and nets, sewer section and other obstacles.

Also, during the passage of the stage, the scouts need to destroy conditional opponents by throwing a knife from various positions, carry out a conditional undermining of a section of the railway, overcome conditionally infected areas of the terrain in gas masks and evacuate a conditional wounded.

The Competition “Excellence in Military Intelligence” of the 2021 International Games is held from August 22 to September 4 on the basis of the NVVKU educational complex. It is attended by six main teams (Russia, China, South Ossetia, Belarus, Uzbekistan and India) in full force, as well as eight singles (Congo, Burkina Faso, Mozambique, South Africa, Tajikistan, Cameroon, Eswatini).
