The team of the Russian Federation won the “Marine Assault” competition of the International Army Games. The victory went to the marines in a bitter struggle against the strongest teams of the People’s Republic of China, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, as well as the debutants of the games – the servicemen of the Republic of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

On Friday at the Gornostay training ground in the Primorsky Territory, the final stage of the competition entitled “Trail of Survival” took place. The leg included a 5-kilometer, rugged, mountainous route with 11 obstacles on the way. After the march in full gear, the platoons had to fire and carry the conditionally wounded. Unlike the first two stages, in which the Russian team was the undisputed leader, in the third, the Chinese marines were faster.

However, the Russian team took the first place in terms of the total points scored in three stages. The People’s Republic of China team is second. The marines of the Islamic Republic of Iran closed the top three.

The Marines-2021 competition was held at two training grounds for the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) marines. In total, within the framework of the competition, the participants went through three stages: “Relay”, “Obstacle Course” and “Survival Trail”. The closing ceremony of the competition with the awarding of the winners will take place on August 29.
