At the Zhitovo landing site in the Ryazan region, the paratroopers worked out a landing for accuracy after making a jump with a guided parachute from a Mi-8 AMTSh helicopter from a height of 1200 meters with an interval at a distance of three seconds between the military personnel and a stabilized descent (free fall) of at least three seconds after separation from the aircraft.

According to the terms of the competition, the jump was performed with special-purpose parachute systems (PSSP) in service with the countries participating in the competition. Military personnel from Algeria, Belarus, Venezuela, Qatar, Myanmar, China and Uzbekistan took part in the competition with their guided parachutes. The rest of the foreign participants used, provided by the organizers of the competition, Russian guided parachutes of the wing-type “Arbalet-2”.

Participants had to get into a circle with a diameter of 10 meters with a 30-centimeter circle in its center, and each landing outside the center point of the circle added additional penalty points, which significantly worsened the result of the competitor and the team of parachutists as a whole.

According to the results of the exercise, the most accurate were servicemen from the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan, who took first place and became prize-winners of the competition stage. The second were the representatives of the People’s Republic of China, and the top three were completed by the Military personnel from the Federative Republic of Brazil. Fourth place according to the results of the Airborne Platoon competition stage.

The Airborne Platoon competition is held within the framework of the Army International Games ARMY-2021 at the Dubrovichi training ground of the Tula Guards Airborne Force in the Ryazan Region from August 22 to September 2 of this year. In total, more than 450 military personnel from 18 countries take part in the competition as part of the national army teams.
