In Korla, at the training center of the PLA Ground Forces, races of the second crews of infantry fighting vehicles of the Suvorov Onslaught competition of the International Army Games of 2021 were held.

The crew consisting of cadet commander Sergei Tedeev, cadet operator-gunner Andrei Lipovets and driver-mechanic Azamat Kardanov went to the start with a team from Belarus. The Chinese crew of the infantry fighting vehicle shared the route with motorized riflemen from Venezuela.

The best crews are determined during the individual race. Of the 12 participating in the least time spent on passing the route with obstacles and on performing live firing at the line of fire from the BMP weapons.

The Russian crew showed the second result with a total time of 22 minutes 58 seconds. The Chinese team showed the best time on this day – 16 minutes 21 seconds. The team from Belarus finished the race with the third result with a time of 33 minutes 21 seconds. The crew from Venezuela covered the distance in 34 minutes 49 seconds.

The Russian team is the only one to perform in the more modern BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle. The rest of the teams will perform in Chinese-made ZBD-86A infantry fighting vehicles.

The People’s Republic of China hosts the 2021 International Army Games in three competitions: “Clear Sky”, in which the military personnel of the air defense units will compete; “Suvorov Onslaught” is a competition between the crews of infantry fighting vehicles and “Safe Environment” is a competition between radiation, chemical and biological reconnaissance units.

The 2021 International Army Games will be held from August 22 to September 4 on the territory of 11 states (Russia, Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Vietnam, Iran, Qatar, Kazakhstan, China, Serbia, Uzbekistan). In total, more than 5 thousand military personnel, consisting of 277 teams from 42 countries, take part in 34 competitions of ARMI-2021.
