Within the framework of the scientific and business program of the International Military-Technical Forum “Army-2021”, a round table was held “What is important for the defense of the country through the eyes of children” “.
The round table was organized by the Military Scientific Committee of the RF Armed Forces, the Department of Intellectual Property, Military-Technical Cooperation and Expertise of the Supply of Arms and Military Equipment of the RF Ministry of Defense, and the Military University of the RF Ministry of Defense.
At this event, pupils of pre-university educational institutions, including Suvorov and Nakhimov schools, cadet corps, as well as young soldiers, presented their research projects for discussion to experts from the Russian Ministry of Defense and research organizations.
Colonel Vladislav Cherkasov, Deputy Head of the Military Scientific Committee of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, noted that recently the Ministry of Defense has been paying special attention to work on involving students of pre-university educational institutions in scientific and practical activities.
“In our state, at all levels of government, special attention is paid to the development of the intellectual potential and scientific creativity of the younger generation. The necessary base is being created for the implementation of research projects from idea to final product, including in the form of joint developments between research organizations and enterprises of the military-industrial complex with the direct support of the Russian Ministry of Defense, “said the Deputy Head of the Military Scientific Committee of the RF Armed Forces. …
The speakers at the round table were the laureates of the competitions “Start in Science” and “School Patent – a Step into the Future!”
The experts’ attention was drawn to the reports on aviation topics, as well as on robotics. It is possible that the results obtained in the course of these works can be implemented in the future in the field of unmanned aviation and the development of robotic systems.
Following the results of the round table, Lieutenant Colonel Maxim Zakharov, the head of the Department of Intellectual Property, Military-Technical Cooperation and Expertise of the Supply of Arms and Military Equipment of the Russian Ministry of Defense, presented the young scientists with memorable gifts.
