A hockey school, a swimming school and a figure skating school will open here.

The Arctic ice rink in the Novo-Peredelkino area in the west of the capital will become a center for training athletes and a place for regular training for Muscovites. The one-story building has already been commissioned. Its area is 13 thousand square meters.

“The Ice Palace will be recognizable due to its unusual facades, which are decorated with oblique stripes located at different angles. They resemble skate tracks on ice. There will be four large ice arenas with spacious dressing rooms, a swimming pool, a gym and a game room, a choreography hall, a restaurant, ”said the head

Department of urban planning policy of the city of Moscow Sergey Levkin.

The Ice Palace is located at: Novoorlovskaya Street, 7v. There will be a hockey school “Red Machine – Arctic”, which will accept children from the age of three. From the age of five, young hockey players will begin to study according to the national training program “Red Machine”. Their workouts will include activities on the ice, in the gym and games rooms and the pool. In addition, a swimming school for children and adults and a figure skating school will open in the palace.

The ice palace was built at the expense of extra-budgetary funds. Private investors are building about 60 percent of all sports facilities in Moscow. The city helps them by simplifying approval procedures and lowering the starting price of land. In total, 10 sports facilities were commissioned in the capital in 2020 at the expense of extra-budgetary sources.
