The share of the service sector in the city’s economy is growing; now it already reaches 70 percent. This was reported by Sergei Sobyanin in an interview with the program “Week in the City” on the TV channel “Russia 1”.

“In Moscow, as in most other cities, the share of industry is about 16-18 percent, and the share of services is already reaching 70 percent. It is the same as in all cities of the world, ”he said.

In modern cities with a comfortable environment, the number of organizations in the creative industry is also growing. Thus, 113 thousand organizations and individual entrepreneurs engaged in the creative field work in the capital. This is 54 percent of the total volume of Russian companies in this industry.

“In Moscow today, half a million Muscovites are already employed directly in this creative field. And if we take the related spheres, then this is already about a million people, ”added Sergei Sobyanin.
