An unmanned aerial vehicle rechargeable from overhead power lines was presented at the international military-technical forum “ARMY-2021” by the Tyumen Higher Military Engineering Command School named after Marshal of the Engineering Troops Alexei Proshlyakov (TVVIKU)
The main purpose of this development is to increase the range of engineering reconnaissance with the possibility of recharging the battery from the wires of overhead power lines (OHL) when equipping the UAV with a power take-off device and current clamps. With a minimum battery charge, the copter, using a specially designed power take-off device, is attached to the overhead power line and recharges until the battery is fully charged. Thus, the unmanned aerial vehicle does not need to return to the operator, without interrupting the engineering reconnaissance.
Also, at the sites of the military-technical forum, TVVIKU presented various developments, modernizations and rationalization proposals. Among them: “Wheeled earthmoving machine”, “Revolver type mine container”, “Prosthesis for mine detector IMP-2” and “Modular individual charger for modern equipment of a military engineer troops.”
The international military-technical forum ARMY-2021 will continue its work until August 28, 2021, and a special pavilion dedicated to the developments of the units of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation at the Alabino training ground until September 4.
