The sectors of the park united by a single concept include military-historical expositions dedicated to the Great Patriotic War and the combat path of a military unit, a platform for displaying equipment, an alley of cars, an exhibition of weapons samples and a freelance battalion club.

Numerous guests took part in the opening ceremony of the park in the repair and restoration battalion of the Baltic Fleet – Acting Deputy Chief of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Alexei Tsygankov, representatives of the command of the Baltic Fleet, veterans of the military unit and youth soldiers.

As the deputy commander of the Baltic Fleet for military-political work, Captain 1st Rank Sergei Polyakov, noted, the exposition was created by the forces of military personnel who completed the task in the shortest possible time – within three months.

– The exhibited equipment was removed from service, was in warehouses and storage bases for many years, – said Captain 1st Rank Sergei Polyakov. – We have found an opportunity to concentrate it in the military-patriotic park. Young people will certainly be interested to see, for example, BMP-1, T-34 and PT-76 tanks. In the future, the park will be open to organized groups of pupils and students.

As representatives of the battalion noted, the idea to create a military-patriotic park in the unit was born a year ago. In previous years, various samples of military equipment have already been installed, including the legendary T-34 tank. Also, one of the first exhibits was a tracked evacuation tractor – the most massive engineering barrage of its time, used in the Soviet army. Today in the battalion there are several dozen exhibits of military equipment that have undergone serious restoration by the hands of repairmen.

There is also the “Alley of motorists” in the repair and restoration battalion. In memory of the military labor of front-line drivers, ZIL, GAZ-56, GAZ-57, which were once used in the Armed Forces of the USSR, found their refuge in the military unit. The open-air exhibition organizers are planning to expand the exposition, increase the area for new exhibits.

The deputy commander of the Baltic Fleet for military-political work, Captain 1st Rank Sergei Polyakov, said that next year it is planned to create two more similar fleets in the Baltic Fleet – in the fighter aviation regiment in Kaliningrad and in the road commandant battalion in the city of Chernyakhovsk.
