The illegal activities of a group of persons belonging to the international public movement AUE, banned on the territory of the Russian Federation, held in SIZO-1 and SIZO-3 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in Moscow, were identified and documented by employees of the Main Operations Directorate and the Directorate of Internal Security of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in cooperation with the FSB of Russia and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

The necessary evidentiary base has been collected, information about the structure of the cell, the subscriber numbers used, the leader and sources of funding from freedom have been established.

In the interests of the extremist movement “AUE”, these persons violated the established order of detention, imposed a criminal ideology, expressed in the denial of generally accepted moral principles and the dominant role of law, propaganda of violence and enmity. In addition, in order to finance the indicated movement banned in Russia, the members of the group regularly extorted money from detainees, including under the threat of violence.

Currently, the regional division of the Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case on the grounds of crimes under Part 1 of Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of the activities of a public organization in respect of which the court adopted a final decision to prohibit activities in connection with the implementation of extremist activities) and Part 1 of Art. 282.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (financing of extremist activities).

On Monday, August 30, officers of the GOU and the Internal Security Service of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, the FSB of Russia, the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia in Moscow, with the support of special units of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in Moscow, conducted searches in the capital’s SIZO-1 and SIZO-3. During the searches, a significant amount of illegal correspondence of AUE participants and other prohibited items were seized, which are material evidence of illegal activity.

Employees of the Main Operational Directorate and the Internal Security Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia continue to work on the operational support of the criminal case.

Earlier, the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia warned that in connection with the entry into force of the decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation on the recognition of the international public movement “Prisoner Criminal Unity” (also known by such abbreviations as AUE, AUE, etc.) extremist and the prohibition of its activities on the territory of Russia, the participation of persons serving sentences and detainees in the activities of this organization will be suppressed in accordance with the norms of the current legislation.
