At the Khmelevka amphibious assault range, a battalion tactical exercise with a live-fire stage is being held with servicemen of the Baltic Fleet Marine Corps unit stationed in the Kaliningrad region, during which the marines repulsed an enemy attack from the sea.

During the exercise, the servicemen of the Marine Corps battalion worked out the issues of conducting defensive actions, blocking and destroying the sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the conditional enemy.

To create conditions as close as possible to combat, target positions were equipped on the sea surface at distances from 300 meters to 6 kilometers on the sea surface for their destruction from all types of small arms and armored personnel carriers and self-propelled guns “Nona”.

In total, about 1000 servicemen and more than 50 units of wheeled and tracked vehicles, including self-propelled artillery and mortar installations “Nona” and armored personnel carriers BTR-82A, were involved in the exercise.
