In early September, at the Kapustin Yar training ground in the Astrakhan region, about 1,000 anti-aircraft gunners of the Central Military District (CVO) Guards Combined Arms Army from the Volga region will take part in a tactical exercise to cover troops from an enemy air attack.

The servicemen on the eve completed the combined marches from the Orenburg, Samara and Penza regions to the training ground. They will perform live firing from Buk-M2 and Tor-M1 anti-aircraft missile systems, Tunguska anti-aircraft cannon-missile systems and Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile systems at targets simulating enemy aircraft and missiles.

The exercise is one of the control stages in the training of air defense servicemen of the largest military formation in the Volga region.
