The work began in May, after the heating was turned off.

In the capital, in preparation for the autumn-winter period, hydraulic and temperature tests of heating networks have been completed. This was told by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Peter Biryukov.

“Testing heating networks is one of the main directions of preparatory work for the heating season. The main task is to identify potentially unreliable sections of the networks and quickly restore them in order to ensure uninterrupted heat supply to consumers, ”he said.

Hydraulic tests of heating systems began in May, after the heating was turned off. It is at the time of their holding that the hot water supply is temporarily turned off.

“Hydraulic tests have been carried out on more than 17 thousand kilometers of heating networks. Over 8.6 thousand kilometers of trunk networks and 8.4 thousand kilometers of distribution networks are ready for operation in the autumn-winter period, providing heat supply to more than 74 thousand buildings, including over 34 thousand residential buildings, ”added Pyotr Biryukov.

Hydraulic tests were carried out along the line of Mosvodokanal on 196 kilometers of city water supply networks. At the final stage, temperature tests were passed. With them, a coolant with a maximum temperature of up to 130 degrees is supplied to the line. Thus, the increased load in winter cold peaks is simulated.

“At present, the hydraulic and temperature tests on heating networks have been completed, all of them are ready for the new heating season. Hot water supply is supplied to all city buildings, ”stressed Pyotr Biryukov.
