Today, the participants of the international competition “Polar Star” at the Brestsky training ground in the Republic of Belarus, within the framework of the final stage of the competition among the special forces of nine countries, held a competition in army hand-to-hand combat.

In grueling fights, which became the final test of the final stage of the international competition “Polar Star”, the Russian team took first place.

The fights of the special forces were conducted according to the rules approved by the Federation of Army Hand-to-Hand Combat and Modern Pankration of the Republic of Belarus. From each of the nine teams, two scouts took part in the competition in weight categories up to 75 kilograms and over 75 kilograms. The composition of the fighting pairs was determined by drawing lots. The best fighters from the special forces of Belarus, India and Morocco became the rivals of the Russian special forces. As a result, each fighter fought three intense battles.

The international competition “Polar Star” among special purpose units is held on the territory of the Republic of Belarus on the basis of the Brestsky training ground from August 22 to September 4 within the framework VII International Army Games. It is attended by teams of the armed forces of nine states – Russia, Belarus, Venezuela, India, Iran, China, Morocco, Pakistan, Uzbekistan.

The Russian team at international competitions will be represented by the winners of the all-army stage of the “Polar Star-2021” competition – the best scouts of the special forces of the Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. In addition, the Rosgvardia team will take part in the competition on an out-of-competition basis.

The International Army Games-2021 will be held from August 22 to September 4, 2021 on the territory of 11 states (Russia, Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Vietnam, Iran, Qatar, Kazakhstan, China, Serbia, Uzbekistan).

In total, more than 5 thousand servicemen, consisting of 277 teams from 42 countries, take part in 34 competitions of ARMI-2021.
