In the city of Tallinn (Estonia) the open European championship in taekwondo among men and women in 2021 ended. Private of the CSKA sports company, Sevastopol Erik Ageenko, acting in the weight category up to 68 kg, won a silver medal.

The competition was attended by athletes from European countries and representatives of the Asian, American and African continents in different weight categories.

In total, Eric played 6 fights. The hardest fight for the army man was the very first fight with the representative of Ireland, he won it with a score of 20-4. Then there was a fight with an athlete from Poland, he ended with a score of 21-9 in favor of the athlete CSKA. The next fight took place with an athlete from Ukraine, who Ageenko won with a score of 14-3. The fourth and fifth fights took place with representatives of Slovenia (victory with a score of 5-4) and Ukraine (victory with a score of 17:13).

In the final, the soldier met with a Turkish athlete. With a margin of only 2 points, the Turkish taekwondo fighter 19-17 emerged victorious from this fight.
