It is very important for us, as the operator of the competition, to create the most accessible and professional competition platform for the appearance of bright and professional works in the field of art in public spaces and to monitor the quality of production. Such contests allow discovering new names and developing creative communities, ”noted Yulia Bychkova, managing partner of the Nikola-Lenivets art park.
Contestants are invited to comprehend the phenomenon of an interactive city – a modern urban environment, which, with the help of a variety of multifunctional multimedia technologies, becomes an interlocutor and friend to the townspeople. Interdisciplinary projects and group applications that combine different fields of art are encouraged. The Talking City 2.0 competition may become an annual event.
The Committee for Architecture and Urban Planning is implementing major infrastructure projects, including a renovation program, reorganization of former industrial zones, construction of transport hubs, road and subway routing. With the support of the committee, over 50 architectural and planning competitions of various scales have been held.
