At the Brestsky training ground in the Republic of Belarus, participants in the international competition “Sniper Frontier” among snipers of special forces from 11 countries took part in the sniper biathlon.

During the competition, each team of snipers had to hit three special Popper targets at a distance of 25 meters with three shots from a PM pistol at a distance of 25 meters, three special targets with a diameter of 20, 30 and 40 centimeters at a distance from 300 to 500 with three shots from a sniper rifle. meters, and with two training and simulation hand grenades RGD-5 to hit the target “Growth figure” in a circle with a diameter of 1.5 meters from a distance of 25 meters. For each target that was not hit, teams were assigned two penalty loops. In addition, the teams had to overcome a one kilometer long route with a complex system of artificial obstacles, including a wall with a breach, a fence, a ditch, a passage in a wire fence, a dynamic wall, an inclined staircase and a blockage. After passing the obstacle, each sniper of the team had to overcome the finishing section of the route with a box of ammunition weighing about 20 kilograms. At the same time, the participants of the competition had to fulfill the competitive standards in the most severe conditions.

The Russian team started in the same race with the teams from Belarus and Uzbekistan and in a bitter struggle took first place in the race.

The sniper biathlon was held outside the classification of the international competition “Sniper Frontier”, but it became the most spectacular and intense test for its participants.

The “Sniper Frontier” competition among special forces snipers is held on the territory of the Republic of Belarus on the basis of the Brestsky training ground of the 38th separate guards air assault brigade of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus from August 22 to September 4 as part of the VII International Army Games. Teams from Russia, Belarus, India, Iran, Qatar, China, Pakistan, Serbia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka take part in it.

The Russian team at international competitions is represented by the winners of the all-army stage of the “Sniper Frontier-2021” competition – the best snipers of the special forces of the Eastern and Western military districts of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. In addition, the teams of the Russian Guard and DOSAAF of Russia participate in the competitions on an out-of-competition basis.

The International Army Games 2021 are held on the territory of 11 states (Russia, Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Vietnam, Iran, Qatar, Kazakhstan, China, Serbia, Uzbekistan). In total, more than 5 thousand servicemen, consisting of 277 teams from 42 countries, take part in 34 contests of ARMI-2021.
