The ceremony of awarding the winners and prize-winners of the second division of the team relay, as well as the “Individual race” stage of the “Tank Biathlon” competition took place today at the Museum of the International Army Games on the territory of the Patriot Park.
The solemn event was attended by the Commander-in-Chief of the Ground Forces of the RF Armed Forces, General of the Army Oleg Salyukov, his deputy Lieutenant General Viktor Lizvinsky, the chief judge of the competition, Major General Alexander Glazkov, Adviser to the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Colonel General Alexander Lentsov, Vice-President of the Tank Biathlon Federation Alexander Kulikov General of the Army in reserve Alexey Maslov, General Director of Aventa DK LLC Sergey Gorbashov, 2012 Olympic champion, world and European champion, eight-time Russian champion, Honored Master of Sports of the Russian Federation in athletics Anna Chicherova and other guests of honor.
The main event of the ceremony was the awarding of the winners and prize-winners of the second division of the Tank Biathlon competition. In a bitter struggle, the Myanmar national team won the third place. The second place went to the tankers of Tajikistan. The gold finalist was the team of Kyrgyzstan, which next year will play among the strongest teams of the first division. The Cup was presented to the winners of the 2nd division in 2021 by the Commander-in-Chief of the Ground Forces, General of the Army Oleg Salyukov. During the competition, each of the teams faced certain difficulties, overcame the hardships and hardships associated with the intense struggle, but only pleasant memories, moments of joy and the results achieved will remain in the memory of the participants in the tank competition.
The best tank crews of the first and second divisions of the “Individual race” stage were also awarded.
In the first division, the winner of the individual race was the crew of the Southern Military District, consisting of tank commander Senior Sergeant Daniil Khramov, gunner-operator Senior Sergeant Sergei Gaideik and driver-mechanic corporal Vladimir Ogadze. The crew showed the result of 19 minutes. 18 sec. The winners were congratulated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Ground Army General of the Army Oleg Salyukov and the Advisor to the General Director of the Research and Production Corporation “Uralvagonzavod” General of the Army in reserve Alexei Maslov. The servicemen were handed the keys to UAZ vehicles.
The second place in the individual standings of the first division was taken by the crew of the Eastern Military District (tank commander Sergeant Major Alexander Namsaraev, gunner-operator Sergeant Major Dashinima Galdanov and driver-mechanic Private Viktor Khishektuev). The servicemen covered the route in 19 minutes. 34 sec. Colonel-General Alexander Lentsov and Olympic champion Anna Chicherova congratulated the tankers on their successful performance by handing them the keys to the Lada cars.
The bronze medalists of the race were two crews at once: the third crew of the People’s Republic of China and the third crew of the Republic of Belarus, which showed a time of 19 minutes. 39 sec. The Chinese national team was represented by the tank commander Lieutenant Niu Zhenguo, the gunner-operator Petty Officer 4th Rank Liang Bojin and the driver-mechanic Senior Sergeant Pan Yuhong. The Belarusian tank commander included Lieutenant Mikhail Lankevich, gunner-operator senior warrant officer Denis Moiseenko and driver-mechanic corporal Andrey Zylevich. The crews were awarded the keys to the Minsk motorcycles by Lieutenant General Viktor Lizvinsky, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Ground Forces, and Alexander Kulikov, Vice-President of the Tank Biathlon Federation.

The winner in the individual standings among the teams of the second division was the second crew of Kyrgyzstan. The tank commander, sergeant Abdykayym uulu Tilek, gunner-operator sergeant Torobek uulu Abdimital, and driver-mechanic sergeant Omurzak Zhidebaev were able to finish in a bitter struggle in 26 minutes. 15 sec.

The third place in the individual standings was taken by the first crew of the Republic of Tajikistan, consisting of tank commander Major Payram Davlatov, gunner-operator Major Komron Kholmatov and driver-mechanic Captain Sobirjon Kabutov, who overcame the track in 27 minutes. 23 sec.
Performances of creative teams – participants of the “Army of Culture” competition became an excellent addition to the award ceremony.
In 2021, 19 teams from Africa, Asia and Europe are taking part in the Tank Biathlon. As before, this year the Russian team is represented only by the best tank crews of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation – the winners of the all-army stage of the competition.
