Participants – about the project
Margarita Kiselnikova is 17 years old. She learned about the “Land of Discovery” by accident – walking down the street, she drew attention to a banner with information about the competition. Together with her friend, the girl decided to shoot a video and show not one, but several favorite places in Moscow, worthy of the attention of tourists.
For example, Margarita recommended that active guests of the capital visit city parks, where, within the framework of the “Sports Weekend” project, professional trainers conduct free classes on Saturdays and Sundays.
The girl invited those wishing to join the cultural life of the capital to look at the roofs of the multifunctional regional centers that appeared on the site of the Soviet cinemas Budapest, Angara, Vysota, Mars, Neva, Rassvet and Elbrus. Interesting events are regularly held here, including music concerts and evening film screenings.
Lovers of history, according to Margarita, should visit the Krutitsy Compound, founded in the 13th century. Among other things, this place is known for the fact that episodes of many famous films were filmed here, for example, Midshipmen, Go!
Another must-see item on the program, according to the schoolgirl, should be the New Tretyakov Gallery, which will acquaint visitors with a retrospective of the great Russian artists, as well as with the works of young authors – during one of the experimental exhibitions.
Another participant, 16-year-old Roman Burak, joined the competition at the end of the call for applications on the advice of a school teacher. The young man was attracted by the opportunity to show his creativity while filming a travel video.
“Firstly, I already imagined what a video for TikTok is, and understood that I definitely needed dynamics and speed, a clear script, popular music. Secondly, the vertical video format seemed interesting to me, I really wanted to try myself in this, ”he notes.
Roman decided to show users one of the oldest universities in the country – the Russian State Agrarian University named after K.A. Timiryazev. The young man told some interesting facts about the institution and walked through its territory. The audience saw an apple orchard and greenhouses with vegetables, as well as the inhabitants of the zoo – chickens, geese and horses.
His video received about 700 views. The novel became the winner in the Humanitarian Technologies nomination.
“At the awards ceremony in the VDNKh pavilion, I was simply overwhelmed with emotions. It’s worth a lot to see the bloggers you follow every day. This whole creative atmosphere was incredibly inspiring for me. And the victory gave me new friends, with whom we still communicate and support each other, as well as many memories and emotions, ”he says.
Eleventh-grader Elina Soboleva was told about the “Land of Discovery” project by her teacher from the dance studio.
Elina dedicated her video story to VDNKh. The girl is sure that a walk through the main exhibition of the country will appeal to absolutely all tourists, regardless of age, since everyone here will find something interesting for themselves, be it architectural monuments or natural attractions. For Elina herself, VDNKh is one of her favorite vacation spots in Moscow, which she recommends to visit at any time of the year.
According to the girl, the “Land of Discovery” competition helped her to prove herself, and also to make many new acquaintances. Elina’s video won in the “Urbanism” category.
“I think that the competition can attract a large number of tourists to my city, because I and the guys from Moscow have shot interesting and informative videos about sights that are really worth visiting. Moreover, we posted everything on TikTok, where a huge number of users are registered, ”the girl notes.
Another participant of the competition – 15-year-old Daria Rodina – got into the project thanks to the director of the dance studio in which she works.
“I love acting and TikTok. I am quite an active teenager, so I decided to participate for fun, ”she explains.
In Daria’s video, users saw Alla Dukhova’s dance theater TODES, on the stage of which the schoolgirl performed several times. She showed the theater backstage, talked about dancers’ rehearsals and modern 3D decorations used in performances. The video received over 3500 views. The girl was awarded the victory in the Creative Industries nomination.
Speaking about participation in the “Land of Discovery”, the girl notes that she managed not only to show her favorite place in the city, which develops and inspires her, but also to learn something new, and also to find like-minded people.
