In Taganrog, the veteran of the Great Patriotic War Vadim Mikhailovich Ternovy was congratulated on his 100th birthday by the servicemen of the Southern Military District (YuVO).

Songs and marches of the war years for the veteran were performed by a military orchestra, servicemen of the 4th Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Southern Military District marched and sang “Katyusha”.

Vadim Mikhailovich was presented with flowers and memorable gifts. The servicemen wished the front-line soldier good health and good spirits.

Vadim Mikhailovich Ternovoy comes from Tbilisi, from there he was called up to serve in the Transcaucasian Military District and served his Fatherland faithfully for almost thirty years – he was the head of communications, an employee of the Red Army special service directorate, the 2nd Air Army of the Transcaucasian Front, served in the 6th separate communications division in The Georgian SSR, then in the central radio station of the special services of the NKVD troops in the village of Tsaritsyno, Moscow region, the Great Patriotic War took place. In peacetime he worked as an engineer, in particular in Taganrog until 2006 at the Research Institute of Communications.

For the heroism shown during the Great Patriotic War and impeccable service in the troops, Vadim Ternovoy was awarded the Order of the Red Star, World War II degree, the medal For Military Merit, For Victory Over Germany, For The Defense Of The Caucasus, For impeccable service “I degree, the badge” Voroshilovsky shooter “2 degrees.
