On September 5, the First Deputy Head of the EMERCOM of Russia Alexander Chupriyan arrived in Norilsk to assess the readiness of the forces and means of the RSChS subsystem to conduct interdepartmental experimental research exercises to protect the Arctic.
In the administration of the municipality A. Chupriyan held a meeting on preparation for the exercise. Igor Lisin, Head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory, reported on the distribution of forces and means at combat points and on the results of the training sessions. The head of Norilsk, Dmitry Karasev, spoke about the completion of work on the preparation of events for a cultural and leisure program for local residents and guests of the city.
“The Arctic theme has always aroused genuine interest in society. In the year of science and technology, the EMERCOM of Russia conducts an experimental research exercise to protect the Arctic zone. Nobody has ever held such events before. We must conduct everything at a high level, ”A. Chupriyan emphasized.
The First Deputy Minister inspected the points of injecting in the city of Norilsk and assessed the combat readiness of the forces of the territorial subsystem of the RSChS to eliminate the consequences of conditional emergencies. I also got acquainted with the work of the safety children’s town in the city cultural center, checked the preparation of plenary sessions in the local museum complex and the organization of an exhibition of fire and rescue equipment.
The exercise will take place simultaneously in 7 regions of the country: Krasnoyarsk Territory, Arkhangelsk and Murmansk Regions, the Republics of Komi and Yakutia, Nenets and Chukotka Autonomous Districts. In Norilsk and Dudinka, 4 input signals will be worked out, each of which will reflect possible emergencies characteristic of this territory.
