Tank units of a separate tank regiment of the army corps of the Baltic Fleet fired at the Pravdinsky range in the Kaliningrad region. More than 200 servicemen and over 40 units of military equipment, including the T-72B3 and T-72BM3 tanks, were involved in the exercise.

During the exercise, the personnel of the unit made a march on standard equipment from the point of permanent deployment to the place where the assigned tasks were performed. When advancing to the exercise site, the actions of the personnel were practiced during an air raid of a simulated enemy, to overcome contaminated areas of the terrain in conditions of the enemy’s use of weapons of mass destruction.

Tank crews fired at various distances at targets imitating tanks, recoilless guns on vehicles, artillery pieces, anti-tank grenade launcher crews and other conventional enemy fire weapons.

The tasks of the crews of combat vehicles were complicated by the dynamics of the training battle – when performing the assigned tasks, the tank crews practiced such tactics as tank ambushes, maneuvering to the flank and rear of the enemy, conducting raids, and tactics called “Tank carousel”.
