The closing ceremony of the Aviadarts competition of the International Army Games 2021 took place at the Diaghilevo airfield. The event was attended by representatives of the main command of the Aerospace Forces, regional and city administrations, heads of delegations of the participating countries, pilots from Belarus, China and Russia, veterans of the Air Force, youth detachments and other guests.

“In the skies of Ryazan, we witnessed the high skill and combat training of military pilots. They showed real character. During the Aviadarts-2021 competition, 4 new records were set, of which 2 belong to Russian pilots and one each to the crews of the Republic of Belarus and the People’s Republic of China, “said Major General, Chief of Combat Training of the Aerospace Forces. Pavel Molchanov.

“Judging by the results demonstrated, by the number of records set this year, I can note a noticeable increase in the level of training of the participants in the competition. I would especially like to emphasize that the Russian team, which once again won the main cup of the competition, was represented by young pilots. In particular, a young pilot – lieutenant who flew the modernized Su-34 aircraft won the bomber aviation nomination, ”he stressed.

After the rally dedicated to the closing of the competition, the winners and prize-winners were awarded. According to the results of the competition, Russian crews won in the nominations bomber, assault, long-range aviation and army aviation in combat and transport-combat helicopters. This made it possible to win the team classification and win the competition cup. The best in the Russian team were the crews of the modernized Su-34 bomber from Lipetsk, the Su-25SM3 attack aircraft from the Krasnodar Territory, the Tu-22m3 long-range bomber from the Irkutsk region, the Mi-28N attack helicopters and the Mi-8AMTSh transport and combat helicopters from the Rostov region.

The pilots of the People’s Republic of China won the fighter and military transport aviation competitions on the J-10 and Y-9 aircraft, and also won two second places in long-range and bomber aviation and the third place in the military transport aviation on the Y-20 aircraft. The crews of the Air Force of the Republic of Belarus won three sets of silver medals in the nominations: assault aviation (Su-25) and army aviation in combat and transport-combat helicopters (Mi-24 and Mi-8).

The ARMI-2021 Aviadarts flight crew training competition was held in the Ryazan Region from August 22 to September 4. It involved the Dyagilevo airfield and the Dubrovichi training ground; teams from the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation participated – about 60 crews in total.
