The Russian national team, together with their colleagues from other countries, from September 1 to 5, fought for the title of world champions of the 16th World Championship among men and the 7th World Championship among women in fire and rescue sports. The events took place in the city of Karaganda, Republic of Kazakhstan.

The competition was attended by 14 teams from 9 countries of the world. Firefighters and rescuers competed for primacy in climbing an assault ladder to the 2nd and 4th floors of a training tower, overcoming a 100-meter obstacle course, a fire relay and combat deployment.

On September 5, in the very heart of the city, at the Shakhtar stadium, the closing ceremony of the championships took place.

On this solemn evening, the strongest firefighters and rescuers-athletes were greeted by the Governor of the city of Karaganda Zhenis Kasymbek, Minister of Emergency Situations Yuri Ilyin and Director of the Executive Committee of the International Sports Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers Andrei Kalinin.

In a difficult and stubborn struggle, the names of the world champions were determined. Among the men’s national teams, the athletes of the Russian Federation took the third place on the podium with dignity. Representatives of the fair sex of the Russian Federation clearly demonstrated their beauty and grace, taking the second place in the team.

Prize-winners and winners were presented with cups, diplomas, medals and valuable gifts. And the best athletes were awarded the Champion Ribbon.

Throughout all the competition days, the athletes fought an honest and uncompromising struggle and showed the highest results in all types of the program. Congratulations to the winners and prize-winners of the competition!
