3.4 kilometers of roads and one overpass have already been put into operation.
22 kilometers of roads and 10 artificial structures will be built on the section of the North-Eastern Expressway (SVH) from Yaroslavskoye to Dmitrovskoye highway. This was told by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction Andrey Bochkarev…
“The project of the temporary storage warehouse section under construction from Yaroslavskoe to Dmitrovskoe highway includes the construction of 22 kilometers of roads and 10 artificial structures: two overpasses, four overpasses, four bridges, as well as two underground pedestrian crossings – in the area of the MCC station Botanichesky Sad and in the area of Signalny proezd, house 16 , building 1 “, – noted Andrey Bochkarev.
He said that 3.4 kilometers of roads and one overpass have already been put into operation as part of a traffic interchange at the intersection of temporary storage warehouse with Prospekt Mira. By the end of autumn, it is planned to complete work on the Susokolovsky overpass.
In addition, work continues on the construction of a bridge across the Likhoborka River and the sliding of the flyover spans at the section of the exit from the temporary storage warehouse in the direction of Altufevskoye Highway.
The engineering conditions at this site required the development of non-standard solutions. According to Anna Merkulova, general director of the engineering holding, the 2.4-kilometer overpass of the main course intersects the tracks of two directions of the Moscow Railway at once and runs along the MCC, and completely covers the third track of the MCC on a half-kilometer stretch. To ensure uninterrupted traffic, the specialists provided for the reorganization of railway tracks according to a temporary scheme. For the period of construction, the trains were transferred to a specially paved track. Thus, the superstructure can be erected quickly in safe conditions.
The northeastern expressway will run from the M11 Moscow – St. Petersburg highway to the Kosinskaya overpass, the interchange at the intersection of the Moscow Ring Road with the Veshnyaki – Lyubertsy highway and further to the M12 Moscow – Nizhny Novgorod – Kazan highway under construction. Chorda will provide a diagonal connection between the north, north-east, east and south-east of the capital. It will help reduce the traffic load on the center, the Third Transport Ring, the Moscow Ring Road and outbound routes.
The total length of the main course of the temporary storage warehouse will be about 40 kilometers. Taking into account the ramps and reconstruction of the adjacent road network, about 120 kilometers of roads, 80 flyovers, bridges and tunnels (about 38 kilometers long) and 21 pedestrian crossings will be built.
