The competitions of the 48th world championship in modern pentathlon of the International Council of Military Sports (CISM) have come to the end in the Polish city of Jonkow. Army athlete Gulnaz Gubaidullina won gold in the individual tournament, and the women’s team came in second.

Lieutenant Gulnaz Gubaidullina became the owner of the gold medal in the individual classification of the 48th Modern Pentathlon World Championship of the International Council of Military Sports (CISM). According to the results of all five disciplines, the CSKA athlete scored 1363 points.

Gulnaz became the best in swimming, then showed a good result in fencing, winning 15 fights out of 25. After the competition, the army athlete took 3 positions. But in the laser run, Gubaidullina won back a slight gap from her rivals and was the first to cross the finish line.

According to the results of the tournament in the women’s team championship, the hosts of the tournament and the pentathlon of Poland became the best. The national team of the RF Armed Forces, which included only CSKA athletes, won silver medals, losing only 4 points to the Poles. Representatives of the Hungarian Armed Forces team won bronze.
