Servicemen from the coastal defense formation of the army corps of the Black Sea Fleet (BSF) have begun exercises at the new assigned training ground for the Southern Military District (YuVO) in the Chechen Republic.

The personnel of the units made a march with a total length of over 1,000 km. It was carried out in a combined way, both as part of road convoys and by rail.

For a month at the training ground, servicemen will work out defensive and offensive battles, perform live firing from all types of standard weapons in mountainous and wooded areas with the support of aviation, practice capturing and holding an advantageous line, withdrawing from the battle and retreating to the area of ​​recovery of combat effectiveness.

At the final stage of combat training, servicemen of the army corps of the Black Sea Fleet, together with the motorized rifle unit of the Southern Military District, stationed in the Chechen Republic, will take part in a battalion tactical exercise. As part of the upcoming exercise, in addition to performing tasks in defense and offensive, the interaction of military command and control bodies, command groups and subunits will be worked out.

About 300 servicemen are involved in the exercises, over 50 units of military and special equipment are involved in them, including T-72B3 tanks, BTR-80 and BTR-82A armored personnel carriers.
