In the Trans-Baikal Territory, specialists of the electronic warfare (EW) unit of the Eastern Military District (VVO) during the training suppressed the communication of the simulated enemy, using special frequency violation modules of modern Leer-3 complexes. The planned event of combat training took place within the framework of the field exit of the electronic warfare units, taking place at the interspecific training ground “Tsugol”.

During the event, the servicemen performed a set of special tasks for the deployment of electronic warfare systems, direction finding of radio-electronic radiation sources and interfering with the “enemy’s” control system. The calculations of the Leer-3 complexes, in which special frequency violation modules are used, created a difficult jamming situation and suppressed the cellular communication signals of the “enemy”.

Also, the specialists of the electronic warfare unit suppressed the control and GPS navigation channels of the unmanned aerial vehicles of the imaginary enemy.

About 300 military personnel of the Air Defense Forces took part in the lesson, over 40 units of military and special equipment were involved.
