During the visit, the Prime Minister got acquainted with the project for the modernization of electric transport in Saratov and talked with the depot workers.

Saratov city electric transport is serviced by the municipal unitary production enterprise “Saratovgorelectrotrans”. It includes two tram and two trolleybus depots.

The city has 23 routes of electric transport – 13 trolleybus and 10 tram. 82 trams and 108 trolleybuses operate daily on the line. The company employs 1,457 people, including 171 tram drivers and 206 trolleybus drivers.

Kirov tram depot was commissioned in 1935. The depot inventory park now comprises 114 trams, including 95 passenger. 55 trams run daily. The depot serves 4 routes that connect the city center with the Leninsky District, and also go to remote microdistricts. The total length of the routes is 63.85 km. The depot employs 293 people.
