For six months of 2021, residents of the special economic zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow increased production volumes 1.7 times compared to the same period last year, and doubled compared to 2019. The total amount of manufactured goods and services rendered amounted to 10.2 billion rubles, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations. Vladimir Efimov.

“In the first half of this year, residents of the special economic zone produced products worth 10.2 billion rubles. This is 1.7 times more than in the same period last year, and twice as much as in the first half of 2019. The main volume – 56 percent – was provided by enterprises of the cluster of microelectronics, optics and robotics, which produced products for 5.7 billion rubles. The three leaders included enterprises working in the field of information and communication technologies – 2.1 billion rubles, as well as the pharmaceutical and medical cluster – 1.4 billion rubles, ”the deputy mayor said.

He also noted that in the first half of the year, over 800 new jobs have appeared at the enterprises of the Moscow technopolis.

“The leaders in this indicator were companies working in the field of medical technology and pharmaceuticals, which provided 76 percent of jobs. Also, new employees were actively accepted into their ranks by developers of information and telecommunication technologies and manufacturers of microelectronics “, – said the head of the capital Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Alexander Prokhorov.

The special economic zone of the capital acts as a driver of new developments and their introduction into industry. The General Director of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow, Gennady Degtev, emphasized that the residents of the Technopolis produce a wide range of innovative products. During their work, the production volumes of the special economic zone exceeded 100 billion rubles. In addition, more than eight thousand high-tech jobs have appeared here.

The Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone consists of five sites with a total area of ​​223.3 hectares. One of them is located in Pechatniki, the rest (“Mikron”, “MIET”, “Angstrem” and “Alabushevo”) – in Zelenograd.
