Today ships and vessels of the Arctic group of the Northern Fleet arrived at the port of Dudinka.

The passage of ships along the Yenisei was directly supervised by the Deputy Commander of the Northern Fleet, Vice Admiral Oleg Golubev, whose marching headquarters is located on the large anti-submarine ship Severomorsk.

The Northern Fleet detachment also includes the large landing ship “George the Victorious” and the rescue tugboat “Pamir”.

While passing the settlement of Vorontsovo, located on the banks of the Yenisei River, cabin boys and Yunarmeys, 7th grade students of one of the schools in the city of Dudinka, were brought aboard the large anti-submarine ship Severomorsk. Such a tradition – to encourage Taimyr schoolchildren who distinguished themselves in their studies, discipline and social activities, with an excursion to a warship appeared last year. During the transition to the port of Dudinka, Taimyr schoolchildren not only got acquainted with the exhibition of equipment and weapons, but also studied the structure of the ship and tried themselves in various naval specialties.

Earlier, a detachment of ships of the Northern Fleet conducted an exercise to resolve crisis situations in the area of ​​the Prirazlomnaya frost-resistant ice stationary platform, as well as, in cooperation with the Border Directorate of the FSB of Russia for the Western Arctic Region, worked out an interagency tactical exercise to prevent a foreign ship from entering the territorial waters of the Russian Federation in the Arctic …

The tenth Arctic cruise of the surface forces of the Northern Fleet began on August 10 with a departure from the main base of the Northern Fleet in the city of Severomorsk. During the passage from Severomorsk, the detachment of ships covered about 7100 nautical miles.
