In one of the training centers of the Eastern Military District (VVO), more than 100 servicemen of formations and military units of the army corps of the VVO, stationed in Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands, have embarked on an intensive combined-arms training course. Near Khabarovsk, at the Knyaz-Volkonsky training ground, servicemen will have to undergo a “run-in” with tanks, overcome the fire-assault strip and make a 10-kilometer march in full gear.

Based on combat experience, the instructors of the training center introduced additional requirements for organizing practical combat training into the intensive combined-arms training course. The cadets will have to perform training exercises in an environment as close as possible to a combat one, using light and noise imitations. In addition, within four weeks, future military specialists will master various military disciplines and fulfill the standards for the main subjects of combat training.

These courses will make it possible to objectively check and improve the level of professional training of contract servicemen, as well as the degree of their motivation and adaptation to the difficult conditions of military service.

Until the end of this year, 2 more streams of courses have been planned, in which it is planned to involve more than 200 servicemen of the army corps of the Air Defense Forces who are on a trial period after the conclusion of the first contract.
