As part of a working visit to the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, Evgeny Zinichev, together with the regional governor, Alexander Uss, checked the construction progress of a new fire station in Norilsk. It will start working at the end of this year.

On an area of ​​over 1100 sq. meters will accommodate 4 fire tankers on the chassis of domestically produced vehicles. The staff will be 41 people.

The minister examined the construction progress and the arrangement of the adjacent territory, talked with representatives of the contractor organization.

“The opening of a new fire station will increase the efficiency of ensuring the protection of residents of Norilsk and nearby settlements. Up-to-date equipment will be put into service, and the personnel will be certified for carrying out emergency rescue operations, ”noted E. Zinichev.

The head of the department also visited the Dudinsky Arctic search and rescue team of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, where 54 people serve and 29 pieces of equipment are in service. Since the beginning of its operation, the detachment has taken part in the elimination of the consequences of emergencies and accidents almost 350 times.

During the visit, issues of further development of the detachment and improvement of its material and technical equipment were considered, taking into account the risks, including those caused by the development of the tourist attractiveness of the region.

“The range of tasks performed by the detachment is significantly different from the so-called“ standard ”. In conditions of low temperatures, it is necessary to have certain skills and have the appropriate equipment in service. We pay special attention to the technical equipment of the detachment, ”the Minister emphasized.
