Order of August 31, 2021 No. 2402-r

Light industry goods made by artisans are excluded from the list of mandatory labeling. This order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The list of such products includes knitted and crocheted blouses, coats, capes, raincoats, jackets, windbreakers, kitchen textiles and bed linen.

The decision was made at the request of entrepreneurs. Earlier, also at the request of business representatives, the Government exempted artisans from mandatory shoe labeling.

By the same order, the deadline for the introduction of mandatory marking of bicycles is postponed from September 1, 2021 to March 1, 2022.

The phased introduction of the marking system began in Russia in 2016 and will be completed in 2024. A unique digital code applied to products during labeling allows each buyer to make sure that they are dealing with legally produced quality goods. It also makes it possible to trace the entire path of the goods – from the manufacturer or importer to the final consumer.

The signed document changesGovernment decree of April 28, 2018 No. 792-r.
