In Vladivostok, a bilateral special exercise was held with a detachment of anti-sabotage forces and means (PDSS) of the Pacific Fleet. During the event, the combat swimmers neutralized a group of saboteurs of the conditional enemy, who seized an important coastal facility.

According to the plan of the exercise, the sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) of the “enemy” tried to seize the communications center and made a series of explosions in order to undermine the communications of coastal communications.

Taking into account the difficult access to the coastal facility, where the attackers were entrenched, a group of special forces combat swimmers was sent to neutralize the conditional DRG. Imperceptibly passing under water, the PDSS fighters carried out a sudden raid on the “saboteurs”. In the course of a fleeting fire fight, the conditional enemy was neutralized.

After the liberation of the object, the divers carried out a preventive inspection of the fairway, where a deep mine was found. Using a special charge, the combat swimmers destroyed the dangerous find with a controlled detonation.

Two groups of the PDSS detachment were involved in the exercise, one of which designated a conditional enemy. Was involved anti-sabotage boat special purpose project 21980 “Grachonok”, high-speed boats, special diving equipment and weapons.

To approximate the situation in the exercise to the real one, simulators and blank ammunition were used.
