The resettlement of 21 five-storey buildings under the renovation program has been completed in the Central Administrative District. More than 1,200 families received new apartments, the head said Department of urban planning policy of the city of Moscow Sergey Levkin.

“All 1254 families, or 3.1 thousand residents living in 21 houses, have decided on the choice of new apartments. 19 buildings are being prepared for demolition, two houses still have non-vacated non-residential premises. At the first stage of the program, by the end of 2024, it is planned to provide new apartments to 3.7 thousand residents of 23 houses in the Central Administrative District, ”said Sergei Levkin.

For the balanced development of new quarters, the necessary social facilities, such as education, are being built. Thus, in the Presnensky District, under the renovation program, two secondary schools for 1,300 students and an educational complex for 500 places with a kindergarten and a school will be erected.

According to Sergei Levkin, 295 objects with a total area of ​​5.3 million square meters are under construction and design, of which 10 houses with a total area of ​​120.4 thousand square meters are in the CAD. In addition, 513 launch sites were selected for the construction of new apartment buildings; there are 12 of them on the territory of the Central Administrative District.

The renovation program was approved in August 2017. About a million people living in more than 350 thousand apartments will receive comfortable housing in modern buildings.
