On September 7, 2021, another round of Russian-Indian interagency consultations on security issues in the use of information and communication technologies was held in Moscow.

The Russian delegation was headed by the Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Oleg Khramov, the Indian – by the Deputy Adviser to the Prime Minister of the Republic of India for National Security Rajinder Khanna.

During the consultations, the parties discussed the progress of the implementation of the Plan for the implementation of the main directions of Russian-Indian cooperation in the field of security in the use of information and communication technologies (ICT).

The main attention was paid to specific aspects of joint counteraction to the use of ICT for terrorist and other criminal purposes, harmonization of approaches to attribution of incidents in the field of ICT, enhancing practical cooperation of national centers for responding to computer incidents, and other practical issues of countering threats in this area.

Following the consultations, the parties confirmed their interest and readiness for long-term effective interaction in the interests of ensuring the national security of Russia and India in the information sphere.
