Servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh continue to provide humanitarian and medical assistance to internally displaced persons in Nagorno-Karabakh.

In the course of targeted assistance to Elena Grigoryan, a resident of Stepanakert, a neurologist of the special-purpose medical unit, got acquainted with the medical history, conducted a survey on the patient’s complaints, and then made a medical examination and made recommendations.

“The patient was examined, complaints and anamnesis were identified, documents were studied, recommendations for examination and treatment were given, after which a second examination will be made based on the results of the patient’s examinations,” said Petr Bulavinov, a specialist in the medical unit of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.

“I want to say thank you to the peacekeepers and your doctors for coming to me and examining me. I turned to the public reception of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, with a request to provide medical assistance at home. They said that the peacekeepers had good doctors, so I turned to be treated, ”said Elena Grigoryan.

The officers of the humanitarian response center have an individual approach to providing targeted assistance. Residents are given basic necessities – clothes and shoes for children and adults, washing powders, gas burners for cooking, kitchen utensils, grocery sets, bedding sets, pillows, blankets, personal hygiene items, children’s toys, as well as individual medical kits.

In total, from November 2020 to the present, more than 6.5 thousand needy migrants who found themselves in difficult life situations received humanitarian and medical assistance from Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh.

In accordance with the agreements specified in the joint statement of the President of the Russian Federation, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, from 00:00 Moscow time on November 10, 2020, a complete ceasefire and all hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh were announced.
