According to the Mayor of Moscow, it is now difficult to make predictions about how things will be with the coronavirus in the autumn-winter period, but the city must be ready for any scenario.

Today, the number of new cases of COVID-19 in the city has decreased markedly, but there is no need to relax. Reserve hospitals with spare beds will continue to work, said in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda radio Sergei Sobyanin

“Of course, we will not close reserve hospitals. This is the basis for us to provide both planned assistance and have the capacity to provide assistance to Muscovites in case of an increase in the incidence of COVID. Reserve beds will be preserved and will insure us for the future, ”the Moscow Mayor noted.

According to him, today it is difficult to make predictions about how things will be with the coronavirus in the autumn-winter period. This is due to the fact that people are returning from vacations, a new school year has begun and the number of contacts has increased. In addition, the season of colds begins.

“We are definitely not going to introduce any restrictive measures in the near future,” stressed Sergei Sobyanin. – Let’s see how it develops. I will say again that we must be ready for any scenario. “

During the pandemic, the capital even increased its capacity to provide planned medical care. High-tech medical care today has reached a greater volume than in previous years. In polyclinics, the situation was more difficult due to the fact that most of the doctors and nurses were focused on fighting the infection. But today a significant part of the medical staff has returned to their jobs.

The Mayor of Moscow also recalled that everyone who has had a coronavirus infection has the opportunity to undergo an in-depth medical examination. This also applies to townspeople who did not go to clinics, but suffered a mild illness.

“We do not restrict anyone, we work on trust. If a person says that he was sick, please let him undergo a medical examination. It is important for us to identify any pathologies or diseases that pose a threat to life, ”said Sergei Sobyanin.

Extended prophylactic medical examination can be performed in 45 pavilions “Healthy Moscow” located in city parks and squares. They work until the end of September without breaks and weekends from 08:00 to 20:00. Visitors must have a passport and a Moscow compulsory medical insurance policy with them.
