Today in the Ivanovo region in the historic city of Ples, on the Volga River, the XIV All-Russian Championship in powerboat competitions among the teams of the State Inspection for Small Vessels of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia and the collection of Chief State Inspectors for Small Vessels of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation was launched.

The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister – Chief State Inspector of the Russian Federation for Fire Supervision Anatoly Suprunovsky and Head of the Department of Human Safety at Water Bodies of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia Dmitry Tarasov.

Opening the competition, the Deputy Minister wished the participants successful passage of all stages, endurance, good spirits, good luck and high achievements.

“The main goal of the competition is to determine the level and quality of theoretical and practical training of the inspectors of the State Inspection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, as well as to test their ability to work in a team. Such competitions provide an opportunity for participants to exchange experience and improve their skills in providing assistance to victims, ”said A. Suprunovskiy.

This year, eight teams representing federal districts are taking part in the Championship: the Main Directorates of the EMERCOM of Russia in the Volgograd, Vologda, Lipetsk, Tomsk, Ulyanovsk regions, the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Yugra, the Republics of Dagestan and Sakha (Yakutia).

For three days, the Championship participants will have to demonstrate their skills in rescuing people on the water and providing first aid to those in distress.
