A 68-year-old woman left home and was lost. The relatives of the disappeared asked for help to the employees of IK-12 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Arkhangelsk Region. According to them, the woman suffered from memory loss, and that day she left the house in a light dress and socks.

Cynologist Evgeny Chashchin with the dog Okar and his colleague Roman Beresnev with the dog Bagira left for the village where the pensioner left. Relatives gave the woman’s handkerchief, on which the search dogs were put on the trail. The husband and son showed an approximate direction where the missing woman could go.

The employees of IK-12 combed the forest for about three hours, in total they covered almost 15 kilometers. Cynologists with their faithful assistants combed every conventional square in the forest. Already moving in the opposite direction, they found a sock and a little later found a woman lying under a tree. She was conscious, but her speech was incoherent. Employees of IK-12 on the radio contacted the rescue service and reported the woman’s condition.

One of the dog handlers took the pensioner in his arms, since she could not move independently. In the village, relatives and rescuers were already waiting for them, who provided first aid.

For their high professional skills and significant contribution to solving problems of ensuring the safety of the population of the Arkhangelsk region, employees of IK-12 Evgeny Chashchin and Roman Beresnev were awarded certificates of honor of the agency of the state fire service and protection of civilians in the Arkhangelsk region.
