The work is planned to be completed by the end of September 2021.

Four new tennis courts will be built on the territory of the Chermyanka river floodplain. The objects will appear on the site of the old infrastructure and will be included in the ensemble of the sports cluster of the future Yauza park.

The specialists have already installed the fences and prepared the base for laying the top coat. Along the courts, the metal structures of the future stands are being mounted – their capacity is designed for 400 people. The work is planned to be completed in the near future.

“All four playgrounds will have the same size – 23.77 meters by 10.97 meters. A special Hard type coating is used as a finishing layer. This is an unpretentious, versatile and multi-layer surface based on acrylic resins. The coating is very easy to repair, provides good ball bounce, absorbs foot impacts, eliminates glare and provides good visibility of the ball, ”said the deputy head

Department of overhaul of the city of Moscow Sergey Melnikov

This surface is certified by the International Tennis Federation and is already used in the Australian and US championships. Thanks to this, it will be possible to hold official competitions of the regional level here.

In addition, changing rooms and bathrooms will be equipped near the courts, lights for games in the dark will be installed around the perimeter, and a special retaining wall for playing single tennis will be mounted.

“The area of the new courts will remain unchanged at 2373 square meters, but the modern equipment and infrastructure will give a fundamentally different feeling of playing, training and watching athletes. Such a tennis complex will be an excellent addition to the future sports cluster, ”added Sergey Melnikov.

It is planned to complete the reconstruction of tennis courts by the end of September 2021.
