It will relieve the central streets of the city and all outbound highways.

A new transport framework for Moscow will be created in two years. It will be based on four chord lines. About it Sergei Sobyanin told in an interview “Komsomolskaya Pravda”.

Thus, the construction of the North-West Expressway has been fully completed. The most difficult section, connecting Open and Yaroslavl highway.

“The Northeast Expressway is the largest and most efficient. It connects seven major city avenues, 15 roads. It starts from the toll road to St. Petersburg and goes to the future new road to Nizhny Novgorod and Kazan (in the Nekrasovka area). The entire highway from Businovka to Nekrasovka will be ready in 2022. In 2022–2023, we will continue it to the road under construction to Kazan. I think it will be released before the Central Ring Road in 2023, ”the Moscow Mayor said.

Active work is also underway at the South Road. Most of the highway has already been built. The reconstruction of Verkhniye Polya Street is underway. In 2023, specialists will complete the construction of an interchange at the intersection of the Moscow Ring Road with Verkhniye Polya and Kapotny Streets. Thus, the road will be completely ready.

The city’s largest new project is the South-East Expressway, which has recently begun to be built.

“The road goes mainly along the railway corridor. We will build the main volume in 2022, and a part in 2023. Thus, we get such a quadrangle out of these chords, ”said Sergei Sobyanin.

According to him, such a transport model is considered the most efficient. The launch of traffic on four expressways will relieve the central streets of the city and all outbound highways. In addition, the new transport frame will improve the environmental situation in Moscow.
