On September 9, at the initiative of the Madagascar side, a video-telephone conversation took place between a member of the Board, Rector of the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs A.V. Yakovenko and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Madagascar P. Radzuelina.

The discussion focused on the issues of raising the qualifications of diplomatic staff.

In connection with the plans to create the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Madagascar, the Rector informed the Minister in detail about the new directions of the Diplomatic Academy’s work and the existing practice of holding the Higher Diplomatic Courses for ambassadors, permanent representatives to international organizations and consuls general, as well as the annual advanced training courses for diplomats.

Of particular interest was our practice, which allows us to maintain a high level of quality in the training of diplomatic personnel.

A.V. Yakovenko invited representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Madagascar to take part in a special two-week program for the foreign ministries of foreign states, within the framework of which lectures are given on contemporary international relations and the priorities of Russian foreign policy. This academic year, 54 states will take part in this program.
