Working traffic on a section of the railway line st. Day off – Art. Lavna and the Lavna terminal are to be launched in December 2023.

In accordance with the instructions of the First Deputy Prime Minister, the relevant departments reported on fixed legal obligations for freight traffic within the framework of the project for the integrated development of the Murmansk transport hub.

Port Infrastructure Development Center JSC confirmed its readiness to provide a cargo base in the amount of 18 million tons from 2024 at a rate of $ 7.5 per ton. A corresponding binding agreement on take or pay principles has been signed between CRPI JSC and Lavna Commercial Sea Port LLC. The complex supply of coal under the contract will be provided at the expense of the own cargo base of JSC CRPI, as well as at the expense of the coal mining companies LLC UK Sibanthracite, JSC Stroyservice, Telf AG group and EP Resources AG, which have concluded with JSC CRPI delivery contracts.

Despite a number of difficulties in the implementation of the project, according to Deputy Transport Minister Vasily Desyatkov, labor traffic on the section of the railway line st. Day off – Art. Lavna, as well as the Lavna terminal, will be open as early as December 2023. An updated “road map” for the development of the Murmansk transport hub must be submitted to the First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia within two days.

Andrey Belousov drew the attention of the meeting participants to the imperative need to strengthen control over the progress of the project. Meetings on the project for the integrated development of the Murmansk transport hub will be held on a quarterly basis.

The meeting was attended by the Governor of the Murmansk Region Andrei Chibis, representatives of the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economic Development, Russian Railways, State Transport Leasing Company and shippers.
