In the Rostov Region, within the framework of a bilateral regimental tactical exercise at the Kuzminsky training ground, the crews of the Mi-28N “Night Hunter” helicopters of the Air Force and Air Defense Association of the Southern Military District (YuVO) provided aviation support to battalion tactical groups of regiments of the 150th motorized rifle division, which performed combat training tasks on defense.

From the ground, the air lines were covered by the crews of the Shilka self-propelled anti-aircraft guns. At the same time, the calculations of the Orlan-10 unmanned aviation complexes ensured the coordination of the actions of the interspecific group of forces in inflicting fire damage on the conditional enemy.

In total, about 4 thousand servicemen of the Southern Military District took part in the exercise, about 800 pieces of equipment were involved, including T-72B3 tanks, Grad multiple launch rocket systems, Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers, and Sani mortar complexes.

In the Southern Military District, one regimental and four bilateral battalion tactical exercises are held at combined-arms training grounds located in the Stavropol Territory, in the Rostov Region, the Chechen Republic, the Volgograd Region and the Crimea. About 10 thousand servicemen take part in them, about 800 pieces of weapons and equipment are involved, including tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, artillery pieces and multiple launch rocket systems. For the purpose of interspecific interaction, more than 40 aircraft and helicopters of army and operational-tactical aviation have been attracted from the association of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Southern Military District.
