In total, more than 30 BMD-4M units out of 15 Il-76MD aircraft of the military transport aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces will be landed on the Zhitovo landing site in the Ryazan region.

At the Dyagilevo airfield in the Ryazan Region, the paratroopers moored equipment from the Ryazan Guards Airborne Regiment’s battalion and loaded them into military transport aircraft.

During the preparation of the equipment for the landing, the BMD-4M airborne combat vehicles were moored on the PBS-950U parachute strap-down systems using the MKS-350-12M2 multi-dome parachute systems, which allow the landing of heavy equipment and its rapid transfer to a combat position after landing.

After mooring and preparing the equipment for landing, it was withdrawn to the aircraft parking areas, where the personnel of the Ryazan Regiment of the Tula Guards Airborne Force began to transfer the equipment to a position for landing under the control of the airborne service officers.

“For the first time, we have prepared such a number of the latest BMD-4M military equipment for practical combat landing by regular crews of combat vehicles,” said Colonel Sergei Serpukhov, deputy commander of the Tula Guards Airborne Force unit. According to him, “then the aircraft with the equipment will fly to the Ulyanovsk-Vostochny airfield, from where they will fly for practical mass landing on the Zhitovo landing site in the Ryazan region.”
