In addition to competitions and trainings, it is planned to conduct theoretical training sessions for athletes and refresher courses for coaches and judges on the basis of this complex.

The construction of an international sambo center and a boxing center continues at Luzhniki. Symmetrical sports facilities will be placed under one roof and will be united by a common facade. At the same time, they will function independently of each other: there will be separate entrances and parking lots.

“Two world-class centers are being created in one complex: a boxing center and a sambo center. These are training halls and halls for holding competitions of any level, including world championships. In addition, the entire infrastructure will be created for athletes: gyms, swimming pools, game halls, – noted Sergei Sobyanin during the inspection of the building.

According to him, the first competitions can be held here in the first half of 2022.

The complex under construction in Luzhniki has no analogues in the world in terms of its functional content. Before starting the construction of the facility, an analysis of world wrestling arenas was carried out, such as the Judo Institute in Paris (Institut Du Judo, France), the Kodokan Institute (Japan), world boxing centers Sofia Sport Hall (Bulgaria), Volleyball Venue (Georgia).
