The active phase of the Russian-Belarusian tactical-special exercise of the reconnaissance units of the Airborne Forces of Russia and the Special Operations Forces of Belarus ended at the Pesochnoe range of the Ivanovo Guards airborne formation.

During the combat training event, the servicemen of the two countries, having received the task, moved on armored vehicles to the area where, according to reconnaissance data, a convoy of a conditional enemy would pass. Arriving at the scene, the paratroopers organized an ambush. When a conditional enemy appeared, they opened heavy fire, destroyed his forces and promptly evacuated.

By this time, the main forces of the parachute regiment had arrived in the area of contact. Ivanovo paratroopers and their Belarusian comrades-in-arms entered into a training battle under the cover of airborne combat vehicles and artillery. The conditional enemy was completely defeated.

Summing up the results of the joint tactical and special exercise, the commander of the Ivanovo Guards airborne unit, Guards Colonel Viktor Gunaza, noted: “His goals have been achieved in full. I express my gratitude to the intelligence officers of brotherly Belarus for their active participation in the exercise. I am sure that the reconnaissance paratroopers of the two countries brought out a lot of useful skills and knowledge for themselves, and also exchanged best practices. “

In total, about 40 servicemen of the Special Operations Forces of Belarus and more than 350 servicemen of a separate reconnaissance battalion of the Ivanovo Guards airborne unit were involved in the exercise.
