Specialists of the humanitarian response center of the Russian peacekeeping contingent delivered humanitarian aid from Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh. These are containers for storing drinking water, which are so necessary for the residents of Nagorno-Karabakh due to interruptions in drinking water. Special cargo will be transferred to schools and kindergartens located in remote areas near the contact line. The delivery was carried out by trucks of the Center for Humanitarian Response of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, accompanied by the crew of the military traffic police.

“Today, Russian peacekeepers together with charitable organizations carried out the delivery of humanitarian cargo from the city of Yerevan to Nagorno-Karabakh,” said Dmitry Tusidi, a representative of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.

“We brought 14 containers of 3 and 5 cubic meters for drinking water, which, in the course of humanitarian actions, will later be transferred to kindergartens and schools in Nagorno-Karabakh located on the contact line. The delivery of the cargo was carried out by the cargo transport of the humanitarian response center, accompanied by the military traffic police, ”D. Tusidi added.

For two weeks, servicemen of the humanitarian center of the peacekeeping contingent made more than 30 flights and provided more than 200 tons of drinking water to more than 1.5 thousand residents of Stepanakert.

The day before, with the assistance of Russian peacekeepers, a water well was launched near the demarcation line in the Martuni region of Nagorno-Karabakh, providing drinking water for more than 2 thousand residents of nearby villages. Russian peacekeepers at all stages of work to restore the water supply ensured the safety of the employees of the water utility. Vodokanal specialists took preventive measures and installed an automatic water intake system.

In accordance with the agreements specified in the joint statement of the President of the Russian Federation, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, from 00:00 Moscow time on November 10, 2020, a complete ceasefire and all hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh were announced.

A peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation has been deployed to control the ceasefire and military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh.
